The Sonoff POWR320D Elite is an ESP32-based 20A smart switch specifically designed for high-power monitoring of devices like grow lights. It features an integrated LCD screen that provides real-time visibility of power (W), current (A), and voltage (V). Parameters and scenarios can be controlled / monitored and adjusted from the eWeLink app.

System Includes

  • Sonoff POWR320D Elite Smart Device
  • Humidity / Temperature Sensors Sold Separately

Technical Specifications

  • Load Capacity: Supports up to 20A / 4,400W at 220V
  • Tracks 6 months of historical data with hourly resolution
  • Allows you to set custom thresholds for power, voltage, and current
  • Designed for controlled indoor environments

Scenarios

1. Power-Consumption-Based Scenarios

Because this unit measures energy in real-time, you can use Power (W) as a trigger rather than just a schedule.

  • Burnout Alert: Set a scenario where, if the power drops below a specific threshold (e.g., 5W) while the switch is "ON," you receive a notification. This identifies a blown LED bulb or a disconnected string of lights immediately.

  • Energy Cap: Set a daily limit (e.g., 2kWh). Once reached, the unit automatically toggles the lights off to prevent exceeding your daily energy budget.

2. Advanced Scheduling & Timers

  • Circadian Cycle: Automate the lights to follow South African sunrise/sunset times. You can set an offset (e.g., "Turn on 30 minutes before sunset") to ensure the grow area or shop floor is never dark.

  • The "Inching" Feature: Enable this if you want the light to stay on for a fixed duration (e.g., 10 minutes) every time it is toggled. This is ideal for security lights or short-term access areas.

3. Safety & Hardware Protection

  • Overload Trip: Since this handles up to 4400W, you can set a safety ceiling. If a light fixture shorts and causes a spike, the switch can trip the relay before it affects the upstream breaker.

  • Power-On State: You can define what the light does after a power failure (load shedding).

    • ON: Good for security.

    • OFF: Good for energy saving.

    • Last State: Resumes whatever it was doing before the outage.

4. Logic-Based Interlocking (If/Then)

If you are using this in a workspace or greenhouse:

    • Temperature Override: Link it to your Sonoff TH16. If the temperature exceeds 30°C, the POWR320D can trigger a scenario to turn off the lights (reducing heat) until the environment stabilizes.
